Long River Restaurant in Kings Park

Favorite chinese on Long Island love the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Reall wish they had fried apple sticks on the menu though.

My wife and I have lived in Kings Park and finally tried this restaurant. What a treat!!! We were so happy that the food was well prepared and the vegetables taste came through. Everything was fresh and the service was very attentive. The decor and dining room is very clean and everything had a meaningful place, if you look closely to the calligraphy that means longevity and “bottle-gourd" plant which was used for food and medicine. I would highly recommend this place for family and friends gatherings.

Usually pretty good but i just ordered a 17$ entree called " shrimp, scallops and vegetables" that contained exactly 2 shrimps and 2 scallops... buuuullshit

I absolutely like their food and service, awesome location right next to where I live. The workers are always very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Food was good, server was attentive, some updates were made. Could use more light and new flooring and maybe a more open layout.

We went for dinner at 6:15, we ordered and they were out of brown rice & edamame. Both were menu items. The overall meal wasn't great.

went this past Valentines day (ordered takeout because gf was not well enough to dine in). ordered wonton soup. super soggy soft noodles, bbq spare rips over cooked and dried up. YUK. Tcho's was fair and eggroll ng. never eating here again. only reason i gave 1 star is because the counter clerk over charged me and corrected his mistake before i cought it.

I’m not usually one to give a bad review but I’m also not gonna fake my experience. It was a Saturday night and from the moment I walked in the smell of “old” was quite potent and the place was dead. Only 2 people dining in the whole place. I was hoping the food would be ok but that wasn’t the case. It came out fast but too fast as some of the food was cold while other food was very greasy.

Standard Chinese food, done well.

Easily the best Chinese food in the Smithtown/Kings Park area. Restaurant is clean, service is great, and the food is unbelievable. Highly recommended.

When long river was owned by Charlie and Erica the food had a better taste! Had to add all my packs of soy sauce to my meal so that i would have sort of taste! Sad, very sad!

Must try coconut chicken, and if you like something not on menu ask if they can make it for you. They will try, great place

The food is good service is lacking you can't sit down without the children of the owners little babies running around grandmother sitting at the table the service is slow like I said the food is pretty good

Not what I expected

After trying a few in the area and disappointed, a Co-worker recommended this restaurant. I'm loving this place. Don't miss my old Chinese restaurant when we lived in Howard Beach.

I appreciate this place for a sit-down Chinese meal. I have thoroughly enjoyed it a few times. The decor is a bit on the dark side but the service is friendly and fast.

Poor food preparation

The management and staff are EXTREMELY hospitable. It's hard to explain, but you feel like family as soon as you enter the door. The food definitely has the most Japanese food to offer on its menu than any other Chinese restaurant in Kings Park. And there are A LOT. With that said their non-Japanese food has a fusion taste, but it's definitely not done by accident or the hypothesis that they use the same oils for both. And it's not just a Chinese food place...It's a Chinese Cuisine Restaurant and Bar. For sure. Best way to describe it.

Quality Chinese cuisine in a peaceful and spacious environment. With so many takeout Chinese restaurants on Long Island with 2 or 3 tables that seem like an afterthought, it's always nice to find an actual sit-down restaurant with appealing decor and smiling service.

Good food and fair prices

Great food but because the last five times we have ordered takeout delivery plus even sitting in the restaurant they have not gotten our order right. They do return with the right order and food the way you ordered it but always getting things wrong. Don't know the difference between fried tofu and difference between steamed veggie dumplings and fried. Veggie comes with meat and they keep sending fried dumplings not steamed. Finding another place that actually gets your order right.

Certainly a place worth visiting, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the pricing is reasonable and it is always clean here. Keep up the good work.

I just spent $50 on takeout from this restaurant. Terrible. An all around disappointment. Spareribs were dry and flavorless. Shrimp toast was undercooked. Fried rice was clumpy and sticky. Fried wontons were dry and crumbly. The only thing that was decent was the egg drop soup. I will never spend my dinner dollars here again. I gave it one star because you can"t give zero.

Thought I would give this place another try.I was wrong food is still sub-par. Would not take out from here again

Food was excellent. Lady who helped me was very.nice. we got take out on this day. Oh yeah if you like HOT gen tsu chicken you will love this place. This is the forst chinese food place that i was able to get general tsu chicken HOT (spicy) like it should be. All the other places just dont hold a candle.

it's pretty on the inside but the food is awful and bathroom was dirty. the service is poor. I won't go back anytime soon.
